January. This bicycle race is inspired by the European spring classics and is named in honour of Cadel Evans - Australia's only Tour de France winner. Experience a weekend of fantastic cycling with elite one day separate races for men (174 kilometres) and women (113 kilometres) with spectacular coastal scenery around Barwon Heads, Torquay and Bells Beach as its backdrop. The race starts and ends in Geelong at the waterfront Steampacket Gardens. There is also a shorter series of people's rides open to the general public. Spectators are welcome at several designated viewing areas along the course with food stalls and big screens showing live coverage of the race.
March. A community festival which showcases local music and performances, offers fun coastal-based activities and promotes awareness and appreciation of the coastal environment
