The snow season in Victoria officially runs from the Queen's Birthday weekend in June until the first weekend in October, but sometimes great snow dumps may occur before and after this period.
At some of the larger snow resorts, visitors keen to ski, snowboard, snow tube, half pipe and go cross-country will find a range of on-mountain accommodation choices to suit their needs, from backpackers lodges to luxury chalet, plus plenty of entertainment options and services.
For those on a budget, consider off-mountain accommodation in towns located near the snow resorts. You can then drive or catch a bus up to the mountain to enjoy all the activities on offer.
