For a bird's eye view of Victoria, nothing can quite compare to what you can see from high up in the sky. Luckily there are many options for observing the land below from up above.

Ballooning

Ballooning is a great choice for a relaxing and scenic way to see Victoria from the air. Flights, which last for about an hour, generally start around dawn, giving passengers the chance to watch the sunrise whilst taking in the sights below. Usually breakfast is provided after the flight, though there are also flight-only options.

YARRA VALLEY:

The Yarra Valley, just out of Melbourne to the north-east, is one of Victoria's most popular ballooning spots. Conditions are suitable all year round, with the balloon floating over vineyards, farms and forests.

Balloon flights are available in some areas of country Victoria. In particular, Mildura has stable weather conditions that are ideal for ballooning, with the 2004 World Hot Air Balloon Championships having been held in the area.
