Uncover Australia's military air training history in Bellman Hangar at Benalla Airport. There is a unique collection of aircraft, some of which are static displays and others which are fully operational and available for scenic flights. Also see working engines, a flight training simulator, displays of uniforms, model aircraft and photographs.

Step back in time at this museum which was founded in 1967. It showcases costumes and historical memorabilia worn in the time of Ned Kelly, with the famous blood-stained sash he wore at his death kept on site. Benalla's favourite sons, Dunlop, Waller and Savage, are brought to life thanks to extensive displays of memorabilia and many visitors enjoy the silk dress display, with pieces dating as far back as 1770.

Burke Museum
Burke Museum

Burke Museum features collections of unusual natural history from the 1860s. The museum is dedicated to the honour of Robert O'Hara Burke, an explorer and Beechworth police officer from 1854 to 1858. Exhibits include Aboriginal artefacts and details of Burke's explorations to cross Australia from South to North from the Victorian settlement in which he lived to the unchartered Gulf of Carpentaria.

The museum is run by the Jamieson & District Historical Society and housed in the former Jamieson Court House which was built in 1864. It has a collection of artefacts and outdoor displays related to the region's gold mining history.

Yackandandah Museum

The museum is housed in the former Bank of Victoria building which was built in 1860. It is operated by the Yackandandah Historical Society and features exhibition spaces and a collection of documents, photos and artefacts from the local district.
