Introduction:

The small community of Forrest is nestled in the Otway Ranges between Colac and Apollo Bay.

The town centre is situated on the main thoroughfare of Grant Street which includes a hotel and general store.

South of the town is the West Barwon Reservoir where there are picnic facilities. Nearby is Lake Elizabeth which was created as the result of a massive landslide in 1952. There is a walking track around the lake and it is a habitat for platypuses.

Mountain bike riding is well catered for with an extensive network of trails having been constructed.
