Lorne was the first area in Victoria to be declared an area of special significance due to its natural beauty, a fact that is easily appreciated when you stop at this seaside town. The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee offers affordable accommodation options, centred on the meandering Erskine River, with only a short stroll to Lorne's pristine beach and cosmopolitan shopping promenade. There are a total of 401 camping sites and 26 on-site accommodation options. There are Foreshore Cottages which offer fully self-contained accommodation for 2 guests including queen-size bed, ensuite, kitchen facilities and all linen is supplied. Standard Cabins (no ensuite) and Ensuite Cabins offer accommodation for families and small groups and include kitchen facilities. The On-site Caravans offer double bed, heating and cooking facilities. Guests staying in cabins or on-site vans will need to bring their own linen, pillows and blankets. The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee continually strives to improve, manage and maintain the reserves and facilities. |
