Terms and conditions for food, wine, tours & activities advertisers

By listing your business on the Travel Victoria web site, you must agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. We accept your advertisement in good faith. Any claims or objections that arise in respect to your content on Travel Victoria must be borne upon yourself. Travel Victoria will not be held responsible for any advertiser content unless it is obviously clear that it breaches state, federal or international laws.

2. Acceptance of advertisements are solely at our discretion. We may decline an advertising submission if we believe it is inconsistent, inappropriate, violates our advertisement guidelines, does not satisfy all our requirements for acceptance or is generally out of character with the theme of the Travel Victoria web site.

3. Listings in this category are free of charge and thus the advertising party is under no financial obligations to Travel Victoria for those advertisements.

4. Listings are only accepted for the towns, cities or suburbs that are already featured on the Travel Victoria web site. A new town or suburb profile cannot be created solely for the purpose of housing your free listing.

5. In general, free listings of restaurants that are part of an accommodation complex are ineligible for inclusion unless their accommodation is currently advertising on the Travel Victoria web site.

6. The title of a listing must be the same as your commonly used business name or slight variation of it. Generic titles such as "Melbourne Restaurant" or "Winery in the Yarra Valley" are not permitted as they may lead to confusion with other businesses.

7. Any wording, photographs or other material that you supply to us in order to publish your listing on the Travel Victoria web site must either be content that you hold the copyright for, or content that you have gained permission for us to reproduce. We will not be held responsible for copyright claims that may arise from supplying us with unauthorised information or photographs. Sole responsibility for this rests with the advertising party.

8. Some of the listings published on the Travel Victoria web site may have been initially inserted without permission from the owner of those businesses in order to present to web site visitors a comprehensive guide to services available. Business owners are welcome to request updates to the displayed information or ask for the listing to be removed. Contact us at any time to make those arrangements.

9. New listings or changes to existing listing will endeavour to be implemented as a matter of high priority. However, while the majority of additions or changes are done within 48 hours, Travel Victoria makes no guarantee that this level of turn around time will be achievable in every situation.

10. Travel Victoria in no way guarantees any specific advertising performance in regards to your listing, such as the number of people seeing your advertisement, visiting your business, telephoning you, clicking through to your web site or making a booking.

11. By inserting a listing on the Travel Victoria web site, you are responsible for ensuring the information presented is up to date. Contact us at any time to notify us of changes as they occur.

12. Listings may be deleted at any time if we believe the information is out of date and we can't easily discover the current information. A web site link which fails to work for an extended period of time is typical grounds for removal of a free listing.

13. While the Travel Victoria web site is being hosted by one of Australia's premier and largest web hosting companies, we cannot guarantee that the web site will be available and accessible 100% of the time due to circumstances beyond our control. However, we guarantee to achieve the best possible uptime for visitors and advertisers.

14. Providing Travel Victoria with your contact details when requesting a listing gives us permission to use any or all of those methods to contact you only in regards to your advertisement while it is published on the Travel Victoria web site.
