Unique and peaceful are the words to describe the setting. Red Rattler Retreat offers accommodation for your comfort in your own renovated railway carriage. The accommodation features a queen size bed and lounge in one compartment and a queen size bed in another. A fully equipped bathroom with its rural outlook in another. Continental breakfast provisions are provided and there are also undercover BBQ facilities available.

Located near Boorhaman, Red Rattler Retreat is a 15 minute drive off the Hume Freeway or 2½ hours north-east of Melbourne. It is the perfect base to explore Rutherglen and Alpine wineries and historic towns. Nearby you will find the Buffalo Brewery, a recreation reserve with 9 hole golf course and tennis courts, water sports on Lake Mulwala, the Murray and Ovens rivers. Bushwalking in the nearby Warby Ranges. Snowfields are a day trip away with a 90-minute drive up the Alpine Highway to Buffalo, Falls Creek or Mt Hotham.

The property is a working farm so please no pets.
