A visit to Warburton
Welcome to the beautiful town of Warburton, nestled in a picturesque valley. Browse through the many interesting shops in the town centre, sample the local produce and enjoy the flowing waters of the Yarra River at its "pure end". Visit the lush Yarra Ranges National Park, breathe the fresh air and see fern gullies, streams and native wildlife.
Warburton Rail Trail
Originally connected to Melbourne via a train line in 1901, the disused track between Warburton and Lilydale is now a trail for cyclists and walkers. Bring your own bike or hire a set of wheels from Cog Bike Cafe. Enjoy a 40 kilometre ride through scenic countryside and farm land along a relatively flat track, making it ideal for riders of any fitness level. See the ruins of old railway stations and platforms on your journey and explore the several towns along the trail.
