The pastoral and farming community of Wycheproof is located between Charlton and Sea Lake on the main highway between Melbourne and Mildura.
Wycheproof's main street, Broadway, is unusual in design with a railway line (freight only) running along a grassy strip in the centre of the road. At the southern end of the town's commercial centre is the attractive oasis of Centenary Park with a war memorial picnic/BBQ facilities and a bird aviary, while at the northen end of town are recreational facilities including a golf course, pool and racecourse.
Views over the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from Mount Wycheproof, located just off the road to Boort, one kilometre east of town. At only 43 metres in height, it has the honour of being the world's smallest registered mountain.
