Edelweiss is a white weatherboard cottage that is named after the famous mountain flower which grows on the Swiss Alps. There are hints of Swiss and German style throughout the home, providing the feel of a summer mountain retreat.
The downstairs living area consists of a large lounge at the front of the home which has comfortable couches surrounding a wood fire, a 55 inch TV with Foxtel, and a book library. The adjacent bright kitchen features a walk-in pantry, electric cooktop, oven and dishwasher. The dining area opens onto an outside deck which has two dining areas complete with tables and seating. These entertaining areas overlook the surrounding lawns and garden with lemon and olive trees.
Upstairs is a second lounge with a 42 inch TV and PlayStation 3 - perfect as a childrens retreat.
The cottage has 4 bedrooms. Downstairs is a master bedroom with a queen bed, walk-in robe and an attached bathroom with a clawfoot bath, shower and separate toilet. The second downstairs bedroom has a double bunk (double on bottom, single on top), which is ideal for children. Upstairs is a queen bedroom and another bedroom with a double bunk. A bathroom with a bath and shower is located between these bedrooms.
There is space for up to 4 cars to park comfortably on the driveway. There is also room for a boat.
Edelweiss is located just around the corner from the RACV Cape Schanck Resort with its renowned restaurant and 18 hole championship golf course. It is a couple of minutes drive to the Cape Schanck Lighthouse and the surrounding National Park. Within 10 minutes drive is charming Flinders Village, many wineries and farm gates around Main Ridge and Red Hill, Peninsula Hot Springs and the exhilarating Gunnamatta surf beach.
