Rothery House is a beautifully restored classic Australian homestead which dates back to 1850, situated right in the centre of Myrtleford.
The lounge room is a spacious living area with an open fire and comfortable couches. This flows into a dining area with a 4 seat table. The adjoining kitchen is modern with rustic wooden benchtops and quality appliances including an oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
The home has 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. Three of the bedrooms have quality double cushion covered mattresses with electric blankets and pristine white linen. The fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds. There is a large main bathroom with shower and luxurious bathtub, and a second bathroom with shower and laundry facilities.
The double brick construction of the homestead keeps the heat in during winter and the home cool during summer. There is a fireplace in the lounge, column heaters in each bedroom and portable fans.
The home is circled by a wide verandah and shaded by a magnificent old linden tree.
Rothery House is located within a few metres from shops, hotels and restaurants. Nearby is the Ovens River, Lake Buffalo and a number of wineries. The popular bustling tourist towns of Bright and Beechworth are just 20 minutes drive away.
