Smiths Beach

Smiths Beach is a small beachside community on Phillip Island's ocean coastline that is surrounded by grazing land. It is located just off the main road between Cowes and the mainland.

The commercial centre of Smiths Beach is located at the junction of Smiths Beach Road and Marlin Street. There is a surf shop and a combined cafe and general store.

There are two sandy beaches at Smiths Beach, separated by Smiths Point. The main beach, which shares its name with the town itself, is located off the end of Smiths Beach Road and has both stairs and a wheelchair accessible ramp that extends from the top of the cliffs and sand dunes down to the beach below. The rocky platforms at each end of the beach are ideal for fishing. At the end of Beachcomber Avenue is the more secluded YCW Beach which is bordered by basalt headlands and rock platforms. Surf lessons are conducted at this beach.

Near the northern end of Beachcomber Avenue is Mitchell Reserve which has a playground surrounded by extensive lawns.
