The beach-front town of St Leonards is situated at the Bellarine Peninsula's most easterly point, between Queenscliff and Indented Head.
The town centre is based around the junction of Murradoc Road and the scenic route of The Esplanade which hugs the coastline along its path north towards Portarlington. Opposite the main shopping strip is Harvey Park which overlooks the beach and features BBQ facilities and a playground. From the town centre jetty, good views can be enjoyed across the bay.
Apart from its sandy beaches, St Leonards offers several other natural attractions for visitors. The St Leonards Lake Reserve is a pleasant spot just south of the town centre, with sporting facilities surrounding the central lake. Further south is the wildlife reserve at Edwards Point which is home to a large collection of bird life.
