Taking to the skies in a jet fighter can provide an action-packed experience, guaranteed to get the adrenalin pumping!

	Adventure Flights Unlimited	A choice of aerobatic flights are available in a Soviet trainer aircraft Yak-52, ranging from a gentle introductory flight to more extreme manoeuvres. Taking off from Kyneton Airfield, flights are conducted over the scenic Macedon Ranges.
	Australian Jet Adventures	Experience aerobatic flights in a Yak-52 or air combat flights aboard an ex-military Strikemaster jet fighter, operating out of Ballarat Airport

	Warbird Air Adventures	Take an adventure flight on a supercharged military fighter trainer aircraft with aerobatic manoeuvres ranging from mild to wild, departing from Barwon Heads Airport. Alternatively, a relaxing scenic flight along Victoria's Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula can be arranged.

Hang gliding, paragliding and microlighting

Ever wanted to fly like a bird? Hang gliding, paragliding or microlighting are perhaps the closest that humans will ever get.

Hang gliding involves a pilot being encased in a harness suspended from a fabric wing and launching from an elevated location. The presence of thermal updrafts may allow the occupant to fly for a considerable amount of time.

Microlighting is a powered form of hang gliding whereby occupants are seated in a motorised trike which propels the craft off the ground.

Paragliding is a free-flying activity whereby one or two people are strapped into a harness which is suspended below a fabric canopy.

There are many sites suitable for these activities in Victoria, both along the coast and over inland areas. Coastal areas such as the Great Ocean Road give pilots the opportunity to soar over the beaches, sand dunes and cliffs. Inland, experience flights over mountains, forests and farmland. The scenic alpine town of Bright, in the in the north-east of the state, is arguably the home of paragliding in Victoria.

	Alpine Paragliding	Be introduced to the simple pleasures of paragliding with beginner courses or take a tandem flight with an instructor (no experience necessary) and enjoy unobstructed view of the spectacular scenery in the Ovens Valley around Bright
	Australian Paragliding Centre	Learn to fly a paraglider! We also offer tandem flights and gift vouchers. While primarily operating out of Canberra, introductory and full license courses are typically scheduled once a month in Corryong

For a scenic adventure flight without the engine noise, try gliding. There are gliding clubs located throughout Victoria, a number of which offer air experience flights to visitors. Some clubs also conduct glider pilot training.
