Mittagong Talia is an off the grid bushland escape in the Woolshed Valley at Eldorado, near Beechworth.
Luxury, nature, and comfort meet to create a peaceful and sustainable home which is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The home is thoughtfully furnished with interesting pieces, books from a bygone era and artworks commissioned by local artists.
The open plan living area is bathed in natural light and has cathedral ceilings, relaxing armchairs, a cosy wood fire (ample wood supplied), a wall-mounted air-conditioning unit, 55 inch TV with Netflix and a selection of board games and books. The well-equipped kitchen includes a gas stove and oven, microwave, frying pans, wok, toaster, kettle, large fridge, dishwasher and basic pantry supplies.

All bedding, linen, extra thick blankets for those cold nights and towels are provided. Eco-friendly toiletries and cleaning products are supplied.
At the front of this home is a huge covered deck with a 4 burner BBQ, redgum bar, dining table and two person outdoor bath with a view. From here you can enjoy the sunset over the rolling hills.
This off the grid home is powered by solar panels and battery storage which guarantees energy for your stay. There is also a backup generator for those less sunny winter months. All electrical appliances have been carefully selected to use minimal power, so please do not bring other electrical appliances with you. Vast water tanks provide ample water for drinking and washing, with instant hot water from gas bottles. Starlink high speed internet and mobile phone reception (Telstra only) is available.
Mittagong Talia is nestled on a 22 hectare Land for Wildlife registered property, surrounded by tall trees and granite mountains, boasting stunning views. Discover specially commissioned First Nations artworks, scenic lookouts, walking and cycling tracks, or marvel at the stars with the clearest night sky. The property has direct frontage to Reedy Creek which is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Swim, fossick for gold and gemstones, or relax by the flowing creek. Chiltern-Mount Pilot National Park borders the property and there is a waterfall located 500 metres from the property boundary. Spectacular scenery, diverse wildlife, and plethora of flora and fauna can all be experienced here.
This property is perfect for a family getaway, a girls weekend or for anyone that wants to free themselves from the distractions of the outside world and immerse themselves in nature.

While access to the property is via an unsealed road, it is graded and easy to drive on, so a 4WD is not required.
The small town of Eldorado, which is a 14 minute drive away, has a long history of gold-mining activity dating back to the Gold Rush era, with plenty of reminders left of those days including the Eldorado Dredge. Eldorado has a pottery shop, old museum, garlic and chilli company with a farm gate, and McEvoy Tavern which is the smallest pub in Victoria.
Within a 30 minute drive is the historic town of Beechworth, the foodie town of Milawa where you can sample gourmet delights, and the vibrant regional city of Wangaratta.
