Tara BnB Cottages, Guildford

Tara BnB Cottages are situated on a timelessly beautiful property in the centre of the delightful township of Guildford, just 10 minutes drive from Castlemaine.

There are two beautifully designed exposed red brick cottages on the property. Each self-contained Mediterranean inspired cottage has a plush queen size bed and a fold out sofa which sleeps a further two people. There is also a Ned Kelly wood fire, air-conditioning, TV, DVD player, kitchenette with all essential needs, beautifully handcrafted coffee and dining table, and a spacious bathroom.

On arrival, guests receive a complementary platter and a breakfast basket that includes home-made bread, jams, honey, natural muesli, free range eggs, local bacon and sausages, avocado, milk, juice and fresh fruit.

Tara BnB Cottages are set on a hectare of extensive and picturesque gardens that date back to the 1860s. These tranquil free flowing gardens feature a large variety of natives, roses and beautiful flowers. Guests are welcome to taste fruit from the apple and pear trees, as well as grapes, quinces and berries. Enjoy serene views of the gardens when inside the cottages or outside on each cottage's verandah which has its own seating and BBQ.

The cottages offer perfect accommodation for a romantic getaway, family reunion, a small wedding, girls weekend or simply a weekend in the country.

Tara BnB Cottages are set in the picturesque village of Guildford which was once part of an area known as the Golden Triangle - the scene of central Victoria's famous gold rush of the 1850s.

This is an ideal base for exploring many local attractions. At nearby Castlemaine there are amazing boutique shops and a monthly farmers market. 20 minutes drive away is Daylesford with its many antique shops and indulgent day spas. Explore the nearby extinct volcano at Mt Franklin and visit the Glenluce Mineral Spring which is located within the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park.

A review on Trip advisor from a recent guest:

"The quality of this B&B lies with its hosts. Guildford is a delightful small rural town with Tara as one of its best attractions. Rooms are very comfy and the amazing food and service provided are second to none. The owners Kath and Rob are natural hosts and their friendliness and thoughtfulness set this accommodation apart from the others. Our dog was in doggy heaven and Wilson the pig was a real cutie. Impossible to be more impressed." - Leonie, Dave and Taz.
