Byfrons is a heritage-listed home set on a working cattle farm, offering a tranquil country escape on the outskirts of Cowes.

Step through the front door into a 110 year old home which is full of charm and character. There are high ceilings, ornate light fittings, wood panelling on the walls, brick features and solid wood doors.

The spacious living room has comfortable couches and chairs, a 50 inch Smart TV, a selection of board and card games, an open fireplace (some firewood provided to get you started) and a split-system air-conditioner to ensure your comfort year round. Next to the living room is a combined kitchen and dining room. There is a table that seats 6 people, a gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, coffee pod machine, fridge, dishwasher, and an ample collection of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Byfrons has 4 bedrooms, all with electric blankets, and can sleep up to 9 people.

There are 2 bathrooms.

The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, clothes dryer and ironing facilities.

At the back of the home is a wide verandah with an outdoor setting and gas BBQ. From here, enjoy views over the surrounding established gardens, expansive laws and countryside. Kids will love the set of swings.

A long driveway lined by pine trees leads to a single carport. There is plenty of additional parking outside the home.

Byfrons is set on an 88 hectare cattle farm where you can enjoy a peaceful stay with beautiful views across the surrounding paddocks and towards the water. While you have exclusive use of the grounds immediately surrounding the home, please note that as this is a functioning cattle farm, you will need to stay out of the work sheds, away from farm equipment and exercise caution around the dam. There is a secure fenced animal yard near the home where you may have the opportunity to observe cows up close.

Despite its rural surroundings, Byfrons is only a 2 minute drive from the centre of Cowes where you will find an extensive selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Please note that this property is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. No bookings are taken over Schoolies.

Minimum stay is from 1 to 7 nights (please note this varies depending on the dates).

Top and bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases are not supplied by default for this property. If you would like these items of linen supplied rather than bringing your own, the cost is a once-off charge of $30 per bed. Please advise if you would like linen supplied and for which beds. Advance notice of at least 7 days prior to your arrival is appreciated. Note that doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats are supplied at no cost.
