Goolwa River Retreat

Set on 9 hectares with absolute river frontage to the Murray River, Goolwa River Retreat is ideal for a completely secluded and relaxing getaway. It is located around 25 kilometres north-west of the historic river port of Echuca.

Goolwa River Retreat offers 5 accommodation options - single bedroom cottages, two bedroom villas and a two bedroom home. If required, they can all be rented together for a family or group.

Cottage 1 is a self-contained luxury single bedroom unit that sleeps up to 2 people. It has a Japanese theme and includes a king size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, large bathroom, air-conditioning, home theatre system, and verandah with clear blinds, heating and BBQ.

Cottage 2 is a new unit with a contemporary theme. It sleeps 2 people in a spacious king bed with the option of a double fold-out sofa for an extra 2 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric hotplate and oven, coffee machine, fridge and dishwasher. Enjoy river views through the large windows in the living area and bedroom, and also from the outside large deck which has an outdoor heated spa.

From the cottages, there are steps that lead down to a floating dock on the river that can be used to moor a boat, swim or fish from.

Villa 1 and Villa 2 are luxurious stand alone two bedroom villas that can sleep up to 6 people each. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has either a king bed or two single beds. There is also a double sofa bed which can sleep two people. Enjoy river views through ceiling to floor windows in the open plan living area. Features include split-system heating and cooling, a Smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a double shower and double vanity, and a powder room. Under the front verandah is an outdoor entertaining deck complete with a BBQ, dining setting and outdoor bath.

The house has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. There is a king bed in the main bedroom and the second bedroom. These king beds can be separated into single beds if required. There is also a fold-out double sofa which can sleep 2 people. The well-appointed kitchen includes a fridge, gas cook top, electric oven and dishwasher. The large lounge room has a home theatre system and floor to ceiling glass panels which overlook the huge entertaining deck and surrounding garden. Other features include a beautiful modern bathroom, separate laundry and two split-system air-conditioners.

Each accommodation option has its own outdoor hot spa and fire pit.

Enjoy a break at Goolwa River Retreat all year round. Fishing gear, a canoe and push bikes are available.

Rates are based on 1 or 2 people. Extra people $50 each per night, up to a total of 4 people.

Villa 1 and Villa 2 - two bedroom villas: (6 people each)
$350 per night
Rates are based on 1 or 2 people. Extra people $50 each per night, up to a total of 6 people.

Two bedroom house: (6 people)
$290 per night
Rates are based on 1 or 2 people. Extra people $50 each per night, up to a total of 4 to 6 people.
This property is not suitable for children up to the age of 10 years due to the proximity of the river.

Minimum stay policy:
Normally 2 nights, 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter, Melbourne Cup weekend and Christmas break.

Fishing boat hire:
$40 for first hour then $20 per hour after that. Please book before you arrive. No boat licence necessary.

Bookings:
50% deposit required with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.

Unless otherwise arranged, check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 11am.
