Pierrepoint Wines & Accommodation offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a stay on a working vineyard, located on the scenic outskirts of Hamilton.

There are two delightful north-facing suites - Pinot and Chardonnay - which overlook an extensive garden and grape vines. These two suites have their own private entrance and are located at the rear of the quaint Edwardian homestead which is occupied by your hosts. Each suite has a queen size bed, TV, ensuite and a small kitchenette with a bench-top oven/cooktop, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. The suites can be booked individually, or a family of 4 can be accommodated by occupying both suites.

The surrounding vineyard spans 6 hectares and grows pinot noir, pinot gris and chardonnay. Wine sales are available from the cellar door which also serves cheese platters, home made cakes and espresso coffee. A range of local produce is available for purchase.

Stroll through the surrounding gardens and explore the vineyard and the rest of the property which is part of a 40 hectare sheep farm. There is a large lake on the property which is used for irrigation and a creek lined with manna gums which is an ideal spot for a picnic. You might even spot koalas here.

Take a 7 minute drive to the centre of Hamilton where you will find supermarkets, an array of shops, restaurants and cafes. Surrounding the town is productive farmland and picturesque landscapes.

Use your accommodation as a central base for exploring Victoria's western district. Within a one hour drive you can be at Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampians National Park, at the western end of the Great Ocean Road in Warrnambool, or visiting the historic coastal towns of Port Fairy and Portland. Take a 90 minute day trip out west to Mount Gambier in South Australia to view the majestic blue lake.
