The cottages are located just 25 minutes drive through the Otway Ranges from Lorne and 1½ hours from the West Gate Bridge.

We know there are many who claim it, but we are truly dog friendly! We don't have a million rules, because we have found from 18 years of experience, that people travelling with their dogs are absolutely worthy of trust! Dogs are welcomed inside, with beds, blankets, bowls and home made treats. There are furniture covers for the couch potatoes. Each cottage has a huge securely fenced yard out front for their fun and freedom. There are many off-leash areas for you to give your dogs a great run, including a large dam in which they can swim if they are so inclined. With all this, and the long bushwalks from your door, you are sure to take home an exhausted pooch!

We have 4 cottages onsite, one of which is wheelchair friendly, that are spacious and meticulously clean. They are well spread across the 6 hectares of bush land in which they sit, so there are no dogs on the other side of your fence to cause trouble to yours. Each cottage has 2 or 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 4 to 6 people. They are individually decorated and each cottage includes a fully-equipped kitchen, dining setting and comfortable lounge with wood fire and entertainment. Outside, there is a large verandah and a bonfire area where guests can enjoy a wood BBQ or camp fire. Set amongst the gum trees with bush views and well away from each other, they offer a truly private and relaxing country experience.

There is a large recreation area with covered gas BBQ facilities, pool table and surrounding lawns which are ideal for a game of football or cricket.

Enjoy bushwalking, mountain biking or bird watching on the large property, or try your hand at fishing in the dam which is well-stocked with yabbies.

Countrywide Cottages are located on a hobby farm where guests are welcome to visit an array of animals including our alpacas, sheep and chickens...eggs are finders keepers.
