Camp Cooriemungle is set on 25 hectares of picturesque farmland, between the bush and the beach. It is located close to Port Campbell and the 12 Apostles National Park along the Great Ocean Road as well as a short drive from the tourism award winning town of Timboon.
Originally an old prison farm with a collection of individual prison cells that are still standing, Camp Cooriemungle now offers guests a variety of affordable accommodation options including camp sites, cabins and a house. Your dogs are most welcome on site (conditions apply) and small outdoor fires are also permitted, depending on the time of year.
The camping area consists of both powered and unpowered sites which are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There is a toilet and shower block available for guests nearby.
Cabin accommodation consists of 5 bunk style cabins with vehicle parking at the door. Each cabin can sleep up to 5 people. Shared bathroom facilities are available at the amenities block. Adjacent to the cabins is a communal hall which has a kitchen, dining area, lounge and billiard table.
There is a self-contained house which can sleep up to 8 people. It has 2 double beds, 2 single beds and one bunk bed. The home has an open plan lounge and dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a childrens play area outside next to the house.
There are covered BBQs located on the property, extensive lawns, shady trees and a lake.
Camp Cooriemungle is home to farm animals including chooks, sheep, cows, pigs and alpacas. Guests are welcome to get up close and personal with them. Native animals can also be spotted on the property, including koalas and kangaroos.
