Capel Cottage is a humble home with modern features, perfect for families or groups who are looking for a peaceful getaway on the Mornington Peninsula.

Built in 1965, this bright and sleepy cottage is your true home away from home, located in a quiet residential area and providing an ideal base to retire to for the night after a full day of fun and exploring.

At the heart of this home is an open plan living area with lovely garden views. There is comfortable lounge seating, TV with Netflix, cosy faux electric fireplace and reverse-cycle air-conditioning.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a farm style sink, double door fridge/freezer with water dispenser, gas stove, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster as well as a selection of basic cookware, crockery and utensils. The kitchen overlooks an intimate dining space with a table that can seat 8 people.

This home has 3 bedrooms can can sleep a tight maximum of 15 adults or a comfortable 10 to 12 adults.

• Master bedroom - king size bed, 2 foldable baby cots, built-in robe, USB wall charging outlets, ceiling fan, powder room
• Bedroom 2 - two sets of bunk beds which can sleep 5 people, built-in robe, ceiling fan
• Bedroom 3 - one set of bunk beds which can sleep 3 people, table-top fan
• Living room - a retractable door can create a fourth bedroom that sleeps 2 to 3 people on sofa beds, with an additional pull-out sofa bed in the main living area sleeping an additional 1 to 2 people

There are 2½ bathrooms.

• Main bathroom - shower, vanity unit, toilet
• Powder room (in master bedroom) - toilet, wash basin
• Combined laundry / bathroom - shower, toilet, washing machine, clothes dryer, wash basin

To ensure maximum flexibility of this home, bedroom and bathroom access is configured according to group size, with unused rooms closed off when a smaller number of guests stay.

• 2 to 4 people - 1 bedroom, 1½ bathrooms
• 4 to 10 people - 2 bedrooms, 1½ bathrooms
• 10 to 15 people - 3 bedrooms, 2½ bathrooms (the whole home)

Linen, pillows and blankets are supplied. Basic toiletries, including body wash, shampoo and toilet paper, are provided.

At the back of the home is a large covered entertaining deck, complete with an outdoor dining setting and BBQ. This area overlooks a fenced and private backyard.

There is on-site parking for up to 7 cars, secured with CCTV.

No physical keys are required to access the home - the property is secured with digital locks.

Capel Cottage is located within a 15 minute walk (just over one kilometre) from the sandy swimming beach on the bay. A 10 minute drive will take you to the exhilarating ocean surf beaches at Rye, Gunnamatta and St Andrews Beach.

Take a 250 metre walk to Truemans Road Recreation Reserve which has netball courts, cricket practice nets, bocce courts and an athletics track.

Explore and enjoy nearby attractions of the Mornington Peninsula including Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs (6 to 7 minute drive), Arthurs Seat Eagle (10 minutes), wineries around Red Hill and Main Ridge (15 to 20 minutes) and multiple acclaimed golf courses which are just a short drive away.
