Hopkins River Homestead is a reproduction federation homestead that is situated on 4 hectares of farmland, overlooking the Hopkins River.

This outstanding home combines old world charm with the modern comforts of today in a relaxing setting.

The living areas of the home features hardwood floors and windows which let in plenty of light and provide rural views. The formal lounge has an open fire and comfortable couches. An archway divides this room from the formal dining room. The second living area is air-conditioned and is of open plan design. It has a dining table, lounge suite, a slow combustion wood heater, TV, DVD player and stereo system.

The impressive kitchen has everything needed to prepare a banquet. There is a 5 burner gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, cookware, crockery and cutlery.

There are 4 spacious bedrooms and the home can sleep up to 10 people, providing a perfect family retreat.

A porta cot and high chair are available on request.

All linen (except for the porta cot) and towels are supplied.

The fully-equipped laundry has a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board.

Free NBN Wi-Fi is available.

There is a double lock-up garage and plenty of room for vehicle parking outside.

Relax on the wide verandah which wraps itself around the homestead and enjoy the scenic river views. Try a spot of fishing in the river or observe the activities of the resident platypus colony.

Hopkins River Homestead is located 10 kilometres from Warrnambool in the small town of Allansford. This town is home to Cheese World and is located at the western end of Great Ocean Road.

From the homestead, take a 7 minute drive to the whale watching platform at Logans Beach where you can spot huge graceful Southern Right whales as they return to the area to calve usually between June and September. Take a 35 minute drive along the Great Ocean Road to the picturesque coastal town of Port Campbell, then another further 10 minutes to the famous 12 Apostles.

Hopkins River Homestead provides well-appointed accommodation in a tranquil rural area that is easily accessible to Warrnambool and the Great Ocean Road.

Please note: guests under the age of 25 must travel with a guest of 25 years of age or older. Guests are required to be 25 years of age or older to stay in this property on their own. Guests not conforming to this policy, unless prior approval is given, will result in denying access to the property and no refunds will be provided. We are happy to consider making exceptions so please contact us if you fall within this age restriction but would love to stay with us.

Prices are higher during peak season.

Rates based on 8 guests, twin share. Additional guests $40 per person per night.

$300 cleaning fee and $120 service fee per stay applies.

Minimum stay is 2 nights. During peak season, which includes special events, sports events, Easter, Christmas, and New Year, a minimum stay of 3 to 4 nights applies, with premium rates in effect. For further details, please enquire.

A $500 security deposit is deducted from your credit card 7 days prior to arrival and is returned on inspection of the accommodation after departure.
