Dunkeld Arboretum
Dunkeld Arboretum

The 18 hectare Dunkeld Arboretum is located off MacArthur Street and consists of hundreds of trees and a large lake. Visitors can see majestic red gums end enjoy picturesque views of the Grampians. There is a 2 kilometre walking track around the lake, a sandstone labyrinth and an old sawmill which stands as a testament to the major role the timber industry played in Dunkeld's history.

Dunkeld & District Historical Museum

The museum houses a social history collection of Dunkeld and its surrounding areas. Located within the former Presbyterian Church which was built in 1865, it features artefacts, photographs and records relating to activities and lifestyles from the 1800s to recent times. Learn about exploration by Major Mitchell, the history of the wool industry and the effects of both World Wars.

Grampians Peaks Trail
Grampians Peaks Trail

The 160 kilometre Grampians Peak Trail extends from Mount Zero in the north of the Grampians National Park to the township of Dunkeld in the south. It connects some of the most famous peaks in the Grampians, winding its way through a variety of landscapes and vegetation types. Along the way are panoramic views, rugged ranges, relics of Aboriginal culture and several camping areas.
