Located off Swansea Road, this 28 hectare lake is surrounded by parkland and wetlands. There are sandy beach areas, a playground, water play park, fishing jetties, launching facilities for non-powered boats, BBQ shelters, picnic areas and a network of walking tracks. A lookout at the northern end of the lake provides panoramic views across the water to Mt Dandenong and the surrounding Dandenong Ranges.

The trail starts at Lilydale railway station and goes through bushland, farmland and fern gullies to the township of Warburton. See the ruins of old railway stations and platforms on your journey and explore several towns along the trail.

There is a museum gift shop and a cafe serving food created using seasonal local produce.
