  • Murray to Mountains Rail Trail

    A scenic walking and cycling track from Wangaratta to Bright with a branch extending out to Beechworth and a section from Wahgunyah to Rutherglen

  • Wangaratta Art Gallery

    Housed in the former Presbyterian church which was built in 1899, the gallery showcases collections of textile artwork and small sculptures, with touring collections on show

  • Wangaratta Historical Society Museum

    Based within the town's former fire station (built in 1895), the museum showcases a collection of historical items from the district. With 19th century handmade quilts and memorabilia from the origins of Wangaratta, the historical society has collated 15,000 photographs of historical interest that chronicle the origins of the town in photographic detail.

  • Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre

    This modern complex includes and Alpine MDF Theatre, a hall, function rooms and cafe. Enjoy world-class entertainment with a range of stage productions, musicals and concerts staged at the venue throughout the year.

  • Warby-Ovens National Park

    This park features the steep scarped Warby Range which offers spectacular viewing points along the ridge, many varieties of birdlife, wildflowers and good picnic and BBQ spots. It also includes the scenic lower reaches of the Ovens River which adjoins the Murray River between Yarrawonga and Rutherglen, featuring old growth red gum forest and an ideal place for fishing, boating and camping.
