A collection of historical artefacts and local history books are display, as well as outdoor exhibitions including "Dad's Shed" and a small pioneer cottage which was built in 1900 with old fashioned plants in the back garden

Sorrento Museum
Sorrento Museum

Housed in the National Trust classified Mechanics Institute which was built in 1876, it features exhibits including Aboriginal relics, authentic 19th century fashion items, memorabilia from early pioneering families and a maritime display. Surrounding the museum are the beautifully landscaped Pioneer Memorial Gardens which are home to Watts' Cottage - a settler's original home which was built in 1869.
