This is the home of performing arts in Melbourne. Located on St Kilda Road between the Yarra River and the National Gallery of Victoria, this huge complex made up of two main buildings. The main theatre building has a big spire sitting on top and houses the State Theatre, Playhouse, Fairfax Studio, St Kilda Road Foyer Gallery, and Cafe Vic. On the other side, facing the the river, is the circular shaped Hamer Hall which hosts an extensive range of concerts including jazz, rock, pop, cabaret, contemporary bands and classical musicians.
This vibrant arts precinct is situated on the former site of South Melbourne Gas Plant. Surrounded by 4 hectares of gardens, Gasworks hosts hundreds of performing arts events and visual arts exhibitions. There are several gallery spaces, theatres, workshop rooms and a cafe.

The stomping ground for international musical and concert acts visiting from around the globe, Her Majesty's Theatre is an Exhibition Street icon in the heart of Melbourne. The historical building is grand in its architecture having been built in 1886 as the Alexandra Theatre for the Princess of Wales at the time.

The Malthouse Theatre hosts imaginative and unconventional contemporary theatre productions. It also serves as a venue for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Victorian Opera. The building itself was originally a malt house and brewery and was built in 1892. It now consists of three theatres, a cafe, bar and rehearsal studios.
Housed in the original Victory Theatre building which was first opened in 1921, National Theatre is a live performance venue which hosts stage productions, music and dance shows. An iconic venue that takes you right back to the theatres of yesteryear.
