This is the home of performing arts in Melbourne. Located on St Kilda Road between the Yarra River and the National Gallery of Victoria, this huge complex made up of two main buildings. The main theatre building has a big spire sitting on top and houses the State Theatre, Playhouse, Fairfax Studio, St Kilda Road Foyer Gallery, and Cafe Vic. On the other side, facing the the river, is the circular shaped Hamer Hall which hosts an extensive range of concerts including jazz, rock, pop, cabaret, contemporary bands and classical musicians.
