Farm stays

    Clifden is a rural retreat nestled in the scenic foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, 5 kilometres from Yarragon. Guest accommodation consists of a cottage that sleeps up to 4 people. The surrounding farm breeds black alpacas and Belted Galloway cattle. These gentle animals love being hand fed and patted. You can also tour the farm and participate in routine farm activities.

    Situated just outside of Clunes, one of Victoria's most well-preserved gold rush towns, is Clunes Farmstay. A small, humble cabin is located on this working farm which is home to chickens, ducks, alpacas and Shetland ponies. The friendly owners who also live on the farm are available to introduce you to the animals and show you around the property.

Try your luck at fishing - there is a dam on the property which is well-stocked with yabbies.

These animals produce quality wool, so you can observe shearing during the appropriate season. If you like fishing, there is a dam on the property with yabbies.

Accommodation consists of a private luxurious apartment for two which is attached to a large country homestead that is set high up on a hill. You are welcome to wander around the property and observe the activities of this working farm which is surrounded by beautiful sheep grazing pastures.

  • Sabrelyn Park

    Sabrelyn Park offers a farm stay experience which is located inland from Waratah Bay, just 20 minutes drive from the entrance to Wilsons Promontory National Park. The 4 bedroom farm cottage can sleep up to 10 people and has been designed to have minimal environmental impact thanks to solar generated power and rainwater - all backed up with conventional supplies. The cottage is set within rolling hills and enjoys distant water views. On the farm are chickens, goats and alpacas which you can interact with. Native wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and possums, may be spotted.

    The historic 1,800 hectare sheep farm known as South Mokanger is located north of Hamilton within picturesque countryside near The Grampians. The farm has two self-contained and private cottages, both with wood fires. Guests are welcome to immerse themselves in the regular farm activities that go on every day. There is the feeding of stock, mustering of sheep, checking of lambing ewes and seasonal shearing. There are also chooks which children can feed and collect eggs from. With 15,000 sheep and working sheep dogs, this is an authentic farm stay experience.
