Farm stays

    Clifden is a rural retreat nestled in the scenic foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, 5 kilometres from Yarragon. Guest accommodation consists of a cottage that sleeps up to 4 people. The surrounding farm breeds black alpacas and Belted Galloway cattle. These gentle animals love being hand fed and patted. You can also tour the farm and participate in routine farm activities.

  • Countrywide Cottages

    Countrywide Cottages are located in the Great Ocean Road hinterland, 25 minutes drive inland from Lorne and adjacent to the Otway Forest Park. There are 4 fabulous and private cottages which are set on a large hobby farm. You will see sheep, alpacas and chickens. Eggs are finders keepers! Try your luck at fishing - there is a dam on the property which is well-stocked with yabbies.

  • Duffholme Cottage & Camping

    Offering views of the stunning Mt Arapiles in the distance, Duffholme Cottage & Camping is located near the small town of Natimuk in western Victoria. This 300 hectare property consists of bushland and a working farm. Hop in the ute with your host and feed the sheep, or interact with the ducks, chooks and guinea pigs. There are also goats who live in the orchard on the property. For horse owners, there are many tracks through the bush which are suitable for riding. Accommodation consists of a fully self-contained cottage, or for those with a caravan or tent, unpowered camp sites with an amenities block and camp kitchen are provided.

    The historic 1,800 hectare sheep farm known as South Mokanger is located north of Hamilton within picturesque countryside near The Grampians. The farm has two self-contained and private cottages, both with wood fires. Guests are welcome to immerse themselves in the regular farm activities that go on every day. There is the feeding of stock, mustering of sheep, checking of lambing ewes and seasonal shearing. There are also chooks which children can feed and collect eggs from. With 15,000 sheep and working sheep dogs, this is an authentic farm stay experience.
